Visit this website for downtown parking

We recommend parking in City decks. They are convenient, inexpensive, clean and easy in and out. NOTE: The downtown parking area website is an excellent resource for much more about downtown than just parking. If you are visiting from out of town this is a very good resource website.

Bag Storage on Race Day: You can stash your bag in the Auditorium at the Battleship. Go up the ramp next to the main entrance steps and enter through the single door. The room should be occupied all morning but WE CANNOT Be responsible for valuables left in bags.

Age Limit for the Half Marathon is 13 yrs old.

No Jog Strollers or Racing Chairs

Sorry but for safety purposes, we do not allow any Jog Strollers or Crank Chairs or Racing Chairs in either race. The course is not safe for racing chairs or jog strollers.

Spectator Information:

The best way to see your friends and family run this race is to first watch them go down Water Street south of the Hilton Hotel (3.5-mile point of the half marathon) or in any of the next three blocks on Water Street south of the Hilton.

Battleship Access Road: The access road to the Battleship will be closed from 7:00 am until 11:00 am race morning to all race related traffic. IF you try to enter the access road you will be turned around but more importantly, there will be traffic on highway 421 passing the access road and you will only add to the congestion. The access road is part of the race courses. Please do not try to drive to the Battleship.

Race transportation (Trollys only) start running at 5:45 am. Spectators can use race transportation after 7:30 am. Getting the runners to the prompt 8:00 am start is our prime concern. Race transportation departs from in front of the Ballsat Holel (new name of the Hilton Hotel on Water Street) starting at 5:45 am.

Spectator Food: Snacks and drinks will be for sale at the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA Chapter 885) from the small trailer staffed by these Vets. Just bring a few bucks and buy pizza, doughnuts, coffee, drinks etc) All proceeds from sales go to the VVA to help disabled Vets.
